Valerie's work bridges industries and sectors. She has a unique ability to think strategically – and an enrolling passion that gets things done operationally and mobilizes others. She recently became Strategy Executive Director at Ernst & Young (EY), serving on the Strategy global leadership team and specializing in purpose-led transformations. She is also an Associate Fellow of University of Oxford's Saïd Business School where she designs, directs and teaches leadership programs to global executives.


Founder and CEO of Veritas, Valerie has led large-scale transformation projects with business, government and NGO/philanthropic organizations. Skilled in new ventures and operations re-design, she has also served as CEO of urban revitalization real estate developments, healthcare facilities and a social enterprise helping low-income families.


Selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader, Valerie has also been recognized as JP Morgan Chase '20 Under 40' and 'Women Who Mean Business'. She has served on a dozen boards and government task forces and is currently on the Harvard Kennedy School Women's Leadership Board and the advisory boards of Global Thinkers Forum and World Policy Institute.


She is a founding member of the US board for Womanity and a Global Ambassador for Same Sky, a trade-not-aid initiative providing opportunities to HIV+ women in Africa. Valerie also co-chairs the Stone Soup Global Leadership initiative, a new model of collaborative leadership to tackle complex global challenges.


An accomplished public speaker, Valerie has provided expert testimony before U.S. Senate and House Committees and served as broadcast media guest host and commentator and print media guest columnist. She speaks and writes on purpose driving business transformation and growth, change leadership, and diversity-powered innovation.

She obtained her MBA with top distinction honours from the University of Oxford and completed post-graduate programs at Harvard School of Business and Harvard Kennedy School.
